Manage Your Decoy Contacts With the Assumed API
Seed, track and monitor decoy contacts directly from your tech stack.
Ditch manual CSV exports. The Assumed API allows you to integrate decoy contacts into your automated workflows, web forms and databases for real-time data leakage detection.
Why Automate?
Manual decoy contact placement can struggle to scale with modern software. The Assumed API brings decoy contact management into your developer ecosystem, enabling automated lead monitoring, dynamic CRM seeding and compliance verification without human intervention.
- Zero Manual Exports: Pull and deploy synthetic contacts programmatically.
- Pinpoint Alert Accuracy: Automatically pair each contact with its exact deployment location.
- Continuous Monitoring: Run automated background scripts to seed and test systems 24/7.
How It Works
1. Order Your Inventory
Generate and order fresh synthetic contact batches directly within the Assumed.
2. Fetch Unused Contacts
Your application calls the API to retrieve available contacts from your active inventory.
3. Seed Your Systems
Your automated scripts, test bots or internal applications plant the retrieved contact into a web form, partner portal or internal database.
4. Tag & Track
Once seeded, your application sends an API update request containing the exact web address or system location. The API updates the contact record in Assumed, instantly tying any future incoming alerts to that specific placement.
Core Use Cases
Automated Web Form Seeding
Fetch fresh contacts, auto-populate lead capture forms and report back the submission URL via API. This keeps web forms operational while actively tracking where submitted lead data goes.
Lead Generation & Partner Monitoring
Embed decoy contacts directly into automated partner submission channels. This allows you to continuously audit vendor compliance and immediately spot unauthorized lead reselling.
Decoy Data Insertion
Run scheduled scripts to plant these contacts as honeytokens into CRMs, call centers or customer databases. Dynamic insertion lets you detect insider threats and unauthorized database distributions as soon as they happen.
